Welcome to Kate Roos Design

Striking the perfect balance between style and function for spaces that look elevated and feel effortless.

We are a boutique, women-owned design firm located in the LynLake neighborhood of Minneapolis.

With our team’s unique, collaborative approach, and our backgrounds in both Interior Design and Kitchen and Bath Design, we are equipped to take on a variety of project types and scopes.

From drafting your dream space to managing the final punch list, our focus is to deliver our clients an elevated, thoughtful design, and a high level of service from beginning to end.

Portfolio of Work

Each design has its own ideal balance of function and style, driven by the homeowner’s goals and, often, by the home itself. Our job is to listen carefully to both, and to work to create that perfect balance.

By finding symmetry, balance, and rhythm in the design, your space will feel timeless and elegant no matter the style.

By focusing on storage, work zones, accessibility, and function, we’ll ensure that your space works hard for years to come.

Full Service Design

Our Full Service Design process prioritizes collaboration, thoughtful feedback, and a high level of service.

The process is a series of phases that include space planning, bespoke cabinetry design, and curated product and material selections. A full set of drawings and detailed documentation ensure that every facet of the design can be translated into real-life by the contractor and trades.

Book a Consultation

We offer three different types of consultations to help you achieve your design goals and create your dream space.

Simply provide your plans, photos, and documents up front and join us on a virtual call (or calls) to edit plans, review materials, offer advice, or discuss any lingering questions you have about your project.

Let us guide you though the decision-fatigue, and build your confidence to start implementing your design.

“Looking back at the hundreds of decisions needed for our kitchen remodel, the most important one was the decision to work with Kate Roos Design. ”
