INTERIOR DESIGN IN MINNEAPOLIS

We believe that home should be your favorite place. That is why we’ve created an Interior Design process that is flexible, thoughtful, and personalized. Our two-part process includes the option of start-to-finish, full service design, with everything from unique, custom furnishings and carefully curated art and accessories to white-glove installation. Or, we can collaborate with you to create a detailed β€œroad map,” floor plan, and budget outline to execute on your own. Either way, we are here to make your design dreams come to life.

1. On-Site Measure & Initial Consultation

At the onset of the process, we send a thorough design survey to gather information about your goals and preferences. We summarize this survey and use it as a springboard for the design. At the On-Site measure, we document the existing space with photos and measurements to create a β€œbefore” plan, and discuss the goals and scope in more detail.

2. Space Planning

We create the foundation of your design - the perfect floorplan. It all starts with our design team sketching ideas and talking through what the space can do. We work to develop a few floorplans that accomplish your goals best. We present 2-3 options and work with you to incorporate all your feedback into a single, comprehensive floorplan.

4. Concept Design

With floorplans finalized, we curate the first draft of Mood Boards, showing the direction for materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures. Depending on the scope of your project, this phase could include elevation drawings, physical material samples, or visits to local showrooms to view product options in person.

5. Detailed Design

Armed with your feedback, we refine both the plans and the Mood Boards, making reselections as necessary and gathering additional physical samples to show you. An additional layer of dimensions, notes, and details are added to the plans. We begin documenting the finalized selections and scope in more detail.

5. Finalization

Your final document sets are created, which vary based on the demands of the scope. In addition to the final floorplans and mood boards, it may also include an electrical plan, cabinetry elevations, detail drawings, and comprehensive documentation covering the full scope of the project, from HVAC to paint colors to drapery hardware.

6. Procurement & Installation

We will guide through every step of the way through pricing, product procurement, storage and deliveries, installation, and styling. Welcome to your new and improved home!

3. Define Scope & Budget

Once the space plan is finalized, we work to refine the scope and the budget. We create a comprehensive list of items you’ll need selected, with high/ low budget estimates. This could include furniture pieces, art, window treatments, custom cabinetry, hard finishes, accessories, or anything else your space needs.

For some homeowners, this initial contract gives them the β€œroad map” to make selections on their own.

To continue the full-service design process, a new contract is drafted based on the previously defined scope and budget. Our team will design, select, procure, and install quality, customized products.
